Note 1: The match played on 19/07/1884 was referred to in the match report as being the 'fourth Anglo-Queensland football contest in the metropolis' (Brisbane Courier 22/07/1884).
Note 2: The matches played on 26/07/1884 and 02/08/1884 were reported as junior matches in Qld Figaro (02/08/1884 & 09/08/1884). The Brisbane Courier match report of 02/08/1884 listed the teams as 2nd St Andrew's and 2nd Rangers.
It seems logical that the two matches were scheduled senior fixtures from the Second Round (Rounds 4 to 6), and after Queen's Park had been eliminated from reaching the final the competing teams chose to field teams primarily composed of junior players in these senior fixtures.
