A final series was held this season to determine the premier team in Division 1. As premiers, Pineapple Rovers had the right to challenge the winner of the final series for the championship.
The Ipswich clubs Blackstone Rovers, Bundamba Rangers and Dinmore Bush Rats withdrew from QFA before the season commenced, and joined a reformed Ipswich City in a four-team competition for the Ipswich and WMBFA premiership.
