No final series were held this season.

A new association, known as the Brisbane and Districts Football Association was formed in late 1936, and administered a unified competition between the Brisbane and Ipswich clubs in 1937.

The Brisbane District Football Association and the Ipswich and West Moreton British Football Association were dissolved upon the formation of the new association.

Relegated to Division 2

Note 1: Round 5 (27/06/1936) United Rangers vs. Milton was abandoned just after half time with United Rangers leading 1-0, because the Milton captain refused to leave the field when ordered off by the referee. The BDFA ordered the game to be replayed, but only 'should the result bear upon the outcome of the premiership competition'. The game was not replayed. However, United Rangers withdrew from all competition after 12/09/1936 (Telegraph 11/09/1936), and it seems the game was (bizarrely) awarded to Milton after this date (Courier-Mail 24/09/1936, page 10, BDFA official final table).

Note 2: Round 13 (22/08/1936) YMCA was leading Shafston Rovers 1-0 when the match was abandoned due to a fracas, from which four Shafston Rovers players received suspensions. The BDFA determined that the match result of 1-0 would stand.

Note 3: Round 6 (4/7/1936) was originally cancelled (Daily Standard 26-06-1936, page 6). However, after the other 13 rounds were completed, it seems points were awarded for these matches during September, all from forfeits (Courier-Mail 24/09/1936, page 10, BDFA official final table).

Note 4: Latrobe-Milton (as the club was known from 1928 to 1940) fielded two teams in Division 1 from 1934 to 1937.
