Note on the Round 9 match between Sandringham and Coburg played on 26 June 1948

This match does not appear in the final ladder. The final result was: Sandringham 11-11-77 Coburg 9-20-74.

Coburg protested that short time had been played, as the timekeepers had not allowed time off during the three-quarter time interval.

The Association decided on 12 July 1948 to replay the game, but only in the case that its result would have a bearing on the final four.

As it eventuated, the result of the game would not affect the final four, so the game was not replayed.
